Keysight’s S9101A 5G Multi-Band Vector Transceiver is a versatile and compact solution for testing 5G base stations and devices in both sub-6 GHz (FR1) and mmWave (FR2) frequency bands. It combines a vector signal analyzer (VSA) and a vector signal generator (VSG) in a single PXIe chassis with multiple input and output connectors. It also includes an external mmWave transceiver that can operate from 22.7 to 43.5 GHz. The S9101A offers high performance and flexibility for various 5G test scenarios, such as receiver sensitivity, transmitter output power, error vector magnitude (EVM), adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR), and more. It supports up to 1.2 GHz of signal analysis and generation bandwidth, and up to 512 MSa of capture and playback depth. It also has a frequency reference with high accuracy, aging rate, and stability. The S9101A is available in three standard configurations: TR1, TR2, and BK1. The TR1 configuration has one transceiver for generating a “wanted” signal and one mmWave port. The TR2 configuration has two transceivers and two mmWave ports for testing two devices simultaneously. The BK1 configuration has two transceivers for generating a “wanted” signal and a “blocker” signal (interfering signal) for testing the performance of a base station receiver.
