Keysight Technologies introduces the PD1550A, the first complete solution for dynamic power device characterization and testing of wide-bandgap (WBG) semiconductor power modules. The PD1550A enables power electronics engineers and power module manufacturers to design efficient, reliable and safe power converters for automotive and other applications. The PD1550A supports up to 1360 V and 1000 A, and can measure various parameters such as turn-on/off characteristics, switching characteristics, gate charge, reverse recovery, and more. The PD1550A also features a modular design, a user-friendly graphical interface, a safety enclosure, and an automatic calibration technique to ensure accurate and repeatable measurements. The PD1550A is compatible with different types and sizes of power modules based on silicon carbide (SiC) or insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) technologies. The PD1550A can also perform temperature-dependent measurements using a hot plate or a ThermoStream® accessory. The PD1550A is part of Keysight's comprehensive portfolio of power device analyzers, which also includes the B1505A and B1506A for static measurements, and the PD1500A for discrete WBG device characterization.
